Cold Heading Process
Part heads and shanks are formed by upsetting and extruding
steel wire stock. The cold heading process provides parts that
have higher strength, higher productivity, and no scrap, when
compared with machining.
Thread Rolling and Washer Assembly
Part blanks are rolled between dies to form the threads. Washers
can be assembled onto the part blank, prior to rolling, providing
a part with a captive washer. Thread rolling provides parts that
have higher strength, higher productivity, and no scrap, when
compared with machining.
In – House Heat Treatment
Parts can be either through hardened or carburized (case
hardened) to achieve the required strength and hardness.
